Your Riverside Escape in the Heart of Alberta Awaits
Welcome to Woodlands RV Park
A Message from alan O’brien
It doesn’t get any better than this! For nearly 20 years, I’ve poured my heart into creating a one-of-a-kind camping experience on the banks of the Athabasca River in Fort Assiniboine, Alberta. Why? To build a place where life slows down, where nature takes center stage, and where people find connection—not just to the land, but to each other.
For me, Woodlands RV Park isn’t just a campground. It’s a sanctuary. Nestled in wild boreal forest, mornings hum with birdsong, evenings glow around campfires, and the river’s rhythm invites you to breathe deeper. Unplug, unwind, and rediscover the joy of simplicity. Whether you stay for a season or a weekend, we’ve crafted a safe, welcoming space for families to build memories that last a lifetime. Kids chase fireflies, neighbors become lifelong friends, and the quiet hum of community feels like coming home.
What makes Woodlands RV Park truly special, though, is the people. The families who return year after year, the laughter around shared campfires, the stories exchanged over coffee. This is a community built on warmth, respect, and a shared love for this wild, beautiful corner of Alberta.
Come see why we’re more than a campground.
